Strong growth in Western Europe, overall significant profit improvement

Sales volume increased in the developed markets of Western Europe despite weak market growth. Overall, a better product and customer mix resulted in a significant operating profit (EBIT) increase of 19.7% in local currencies.

Entering a long-term partnership with GarudaFood, marks our first outsourcing agreement in Southeast Asia and our entry into the Indonesian compound chocolate market.

We developed new ways to make chocolate more heat-resistant. This breakthrough innovation allows us to better serve the demand for our chocolate and compound chocolate products in warmer climates.

We are bundling certain transactional activities at our new, cost-competitive Shared Service Center in Lodz, Poland, to increase operational efficiency.

Sustainable Cocoa

In order to scale our impact, we established the independent nonprofit Cocoa Horizons Foundation which promotes sustainable and entrepreneurial farming and community development.
